UB Hacking is University at Buffalo's student-run hackathon. Students from different backgrounds with any-level of experience are welcome to join us as they build fun, innovative projects over 24 hours.

Register a .tech domain name using Domain.com during the weekend. Each team may submit one entry per person on the team. Each winning team member will receive a PowerSquare Qi wireless phone charger.

Twilio allows you to incorporate mobile messaging, phone calls and a ton of other awesome communication features right into your hackathon project using web service APIs. Here we challenge you to rethink how we show a car on our platform. Apps like Tinder, eBay, Facebook Marketplace are all focused on giving users a quick interactive fun experience to view objects. Front-Line Employee Digital Experience presented by Wegmans

The needs of a front-line worker has shifted greatly with the changes Covid-19 has brought to the workplace. Create an application that would support an employee working in this challenging new environment.

Prize: $1000 Wegmans gift card (split among team)

Do something useful and creative with Teknic Hardware presented by Teknic (3)

A Hardware hack that uses at least 1 Teknic ClearCore Motion and IO controller with opportunity to also use Teknic ClearPath servo motors.
Examples:
-Create an interface for a machine controlling by using a ClearCore paired with an interactive display
-Control multiple axis of coordinated motion controlling position, velocity and torque in a ClearPath through the IO ports on the ClearCore
-Communicate between multiple controllers to develop a network of Motion and IO controllers (wired or wirelessly)
-Interface with all kinds of switches, sensors, LEDS, relays, DC motors, and serial devices.
-Read/Log data with a built-in micro SD card reader
-Extensive documentation and over forty well commented examples are provided to get you started (insert helpful starting links here)"
